History

Created in 1998..... born again in 2010.
In 1998 I gathered a few friends and fellow artists together to share ideas, create, pool resources, and produce dance. Our motto was, "Don't wait for something to surprise you, you gotta make shit happen" (thank you Ani DiFranco). This was a springboard for each of us. Within a year each company member began their own individual projects and went on to make a difference in the dance world and beyond.
After a whole lot of hard work, some life changing events and many thrown in towels, I am still here... creating, dancing and teaching.

I produce my work under the name of Recked Productions. I like the oxymoronic ring to it. There are over 15 works in our repertory. I compile groups of artists specific to the individual project I am creating.
My work has been produced by Joyce SoHo, Dance in the Square, DNA, Danspace Projects at St. Marks, Pink Ribbons Project Houston at the Worthan Theater, WTCD at Miller Outdoor Theater, Toronto Fringe Festival, Nutshell Festival, Main Event of the DanceNow Festival at DTW, Big Range Festival in Houston, and Estrogenius.

I have received grants from the Puffin Foundation and Manhattan Cultural Arts Foundation.
